Although not as enjoyable as Fulham 6 - 0 QPR this game included a marvellous hat-trick, the first by an American player in the English Premier League as Texan wonder Clint Dempsey brought his tally to the season to 15 (9 in the EPL). This brings him up to 5th overall and 8th in the league. Clint threatens to be the first Fulham player to score 20 in a season since Saha in the Championship. Fulham fans are not known for violence, however should anyone put an offer in for our Clint they may be on the receiving end of some gratuitous stuff.
- The sublime and the ridiculous, squeezed into 90 glorious minutes
- As he walked off, Dempsey bathed in the hero worship
- Cottagers' five fail to fire up grumpy Jol
- [Dempsey] claims second-half hat-trick as revamped Fulham run riot in response to Newcastle opener
It was also nice to know that I have influenced the voices within Football, following my campaign for Bobby Zamora in the England team. This was the Daily Mail on the real reason behind the 'stunning hat-trick'
Bobby Zamora did most to inspire a remarkable thrashing, having made each of the American's second-half opportunities. The fact Zamora also calmly converted a penalty confirmed what the watching Fabio Capello must already have realised: the Fulham striker is a formidable force at his cool, inventive best, a man of international quality.
In other good news Chelski draw a blank again and have continued to struggle since the Mighty Whites made them suffer.
Tottenham face the team that Fulham were the first to stop, the New Mancs on the Block back in September when points were rare indeed. Arsenal have not quite coped well since having a Ginger Nut in their Face as this diagram illustrates.

Current form - last 7 games Fulham ahead of Chelski - a sign of what's to come? |
I hope they stop them [Manchester] tomorrow and take all three points as this increases the likelihood of Chelski dropping out of the Top 4 and would have two London clubs (even if they are from the 'norf' part) because Chelski do not count as London. We hate Chelski.
